Agreement Overview 

This document outlines the terms and conditions of the agreement between clients of DW Dog Training and DW Dog Training.

DW Dog Training will endeavor to create as safe of an environment as possible for the training of my dog and will offer only sound, safe, and responsible training, and training instructions.

DW Dog Training will make every reasonable effort to help the Client achieve training and behaviour modification goals but makes no guarantee of the dog’s performance or behaviour as a result of providing professional animal behaviour consultation. The Client understands that he/she and members of the household must follow DW Dog Training’s instructions without modification, work with the dog daily as recommended, and constantly reinforce the training being given to the dog.

Cancellation Policy

If the Client fails to give at least 24 hours cancellation notice or is not present at the time of the scheduled appointment, session fees are still due. For a package deal, the session will still be counted as one session.

Media and Photo Disclaimer

I hereby consent for DW Dog Training and all authorized representatives to use any, and all photos, videos or recordings taken of me/my dog during any services provided by DW Dog Training with or without my name and for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to marketing, advertising, web content and social media.

Termination

At DW Dog Training’s sole election, DW Dog Training’s duties hereunder shall terminate if (a) in DW Dog Training's sole judgment the dog is dangerous or vicious to the trainer or any other person or animal, interferes with the training of other dogs or presents a risk of injury to itself, or (b) the Client breaches any term or condition of this agreement. Upon termination in accordance with the foregoing, Trainer's duties shall terminate.

Package Expiry Policy

All training packages must be used within the following timeframes from the date of purchase:

• Private Training Packages – Valid for 10 weeks from the date of purchase

• Walk & Train Packages – Valid for 12 weeks from the date of purchase

Any unused sessions will expire after this period and cannot be refunded, extended, or transferred. It is the client’s responsibility to schedule and complete sessions within the designated timeframe. Availability is not guaranteed for last-minute bookings, so we recommend scheduling sessions in advance to ensure availability.

If you experience extenuating circumstances that may impact your ability to use your sessions within the expiry period, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss potential options.

Travel Fee Policy

To ensure I can provide quality service across all areas, a travel fee applies for locations outside my standard service zone on the Northern Beaches.

Travel fees are based on the distance from my service area and may also include toll costs if applicable. These fees will be discussed and confirmed before the initial consultation or booking process to ensure transparency.

Liability Waiver 

By agreeing, I hereby acknowledges that I am voluntarily participating in Dog Training with DW Dog Training. DW Dog Training will exercise all necessary and proper care and precautions to keep all participants and dogs safe during training sessions in order to prevent injury to any person, property, other dog or the dog itself. However, because dogs are animals and may be unpredictable, DW Dog Training cannot protect against every potential injury, risk, or accident. This Release and Waiver are intended to shift the risk of participating in dog training to the Client/Owner/Guardian of the dog participating in training. I acknowledge that I have had full opportunity to discuss any, and all concerns I have regarding foregoing risks with DW Dog Training and its authorized representatives.

The Client agrees to hold harmless Demi Ward, DW Dog Training and authorized representatives from any, and all claims of injury, loss, cost, expenses, or damage caused by the actions of the Clients dog during the course of training, or under the care, custody or control of DW Dog Training. I hereby accept and assume, without reservation, all risks associated with my participation in the training program, including, but not limited to: the risks of any and all injuries to myself, my dog and any of my family members or third parties who may attend; the risks that my dog may cause injury to other persons and/or dogs involved; and the risks that saliva, water, food, and/or other debris may be present in the training area. I have read and understand DW Dog Training’s policies and agree to abide by them.
